UNC Charlotte students write hundreds of postcards to our troops

UNC Charlotte commemorated the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks through an extended week of programs and activities.  One such activity was a postcard campaign where UNC students were able to stop by and write a personal message to an active U.S. Service member.  Several hundred postcards, filled with messages of thanks were written and delivered to the American Red Cross for delivery to the troops.

UNC Charlotte’s Veteran Student Outreach program wants to encourage the UNC Charlotte community to show its support for all of our service men and women.  They encourage all of their military-affiliated students to get involved with the community and set the standard for leadership and professionalism.

Thank you for being a veteran. Thank you for being a Guardsman. Thank you for being a Reservist. Thank you for being a cadet. Thank you for being a military spouse. Thank you for being a military dependent. Thank you for choosing UNC Charlotte.” ~ UNC Charlotte Veteran Students Outreach
