Red Cross volunteers assist families after apartment fire

Late on Sunday, Sept. 19, a fire broke out at the Central Point Apartments in Charlotte. Sixteen units were affected by the fire, displacing 13 families.

American Red Cross volunteers responded to the scene immediately, working with each family to provide assistance for food, shelter and clothing. The Red Cross also provided drinks for the Charlotte Fire Department and other responders on the scene.
