These are the kinds of emergency communication messages (ECM) that are officially communicated to deployed servicemen and women all over the world 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by the American Red Cross, Services to Armed Forces. Immediately after an ECM is received, the Red Cross verifies the details of the emergency, then sends the message to the service members commanding officer to grant emergency leave.
